TransBidDepot™

TransBidDepot™ is Transkor's proprietary online marketplace for all modes of transportation. It allows registered carriers to bid separately on your total annual transportation in a single process for each mode. Through TransBidDepot™ our clients' historical shipping data is modeled, analyzed then compared to the transportation companies rates and service level.

The procedures for TransBidDepot™ are as follows:

  • Shipper data is analyzed and broken down by each mode and lane.
  • All data is compiled, organized and posted onto TransBidDepot™.
  • Pre-qualified carrier members are notified and may download the Electronic Request for Proposals (e-RFP) that matches their region & service level.
  • As the shipper identity is not associated with the e-RFP, the carrier members must fill in a "Shipper Identity Request" to obtain it separately.
  • Carriers with matching service levels & competitive rates submit their electronic response.
  • All proposals are analyzed. Non-qualifying proposals-carriers who do not cover all or enough lanes-are disposed of.
  • The top three proposals compared to historical shipping data are then presented to Transkor's client.
  • Recommendations are made to the shippers on which lanes they can achieve yearly savings.
All Transkor clients utilizing TransBidDepot™ have two choices. (1) They may evaluate the recommendations presented by Transkor and choose the carriers they would like to use, or (2) they may choose to have Transkor implement the recommendations, switching carriers for them and outsourcing their traffic department to Transkor.
